(EDIT: Someone from State bags kindly reached out to me to walk me through how to properly use the chest strap. I initially thought that the position of loops at the bottom of the bag strap were too low for the chest strap - but it actually works out perfectly! Our other Kane Kids bags have loops that go all the way to the top so I thought that's where they were supposed to go. But it was 100% user error on my part. Thanks for reaching out to a loyal customer!)
I usually love my State products, unfortunately, when this chest strap arrived I was disappointed to find out that it was not compatible with the Kane Kids bag I had purchased it with. Although it is a recommended accessory for Kane Kids bags, please take note that not all Kane Kids bags have the required "webbing loops" to attach this chest strap to. I had purchased the Metallic - Day & Night bag which do not have the loops. Unfortunately I had already ripped the tag off before I realized that there was nowhere to attach the strap to. Twenty dollars down the drain. I would actually love to see all Kane Kids bags come with the chest strap already included.
My 3 years old is able to open and close it easy. It looks good quality. I wish it was included with the bags specially the mini bags.
Looks adorable on my daughters silver pack pack and it definitely helps her backpack stay on. It was easy to attach, I gave only 4 stars due to the difficulty of the clip to open. My 8 year old has a very hard time getting it unclipped. Sometimes she just leaves it hooked and slips backpack off over her head.
