My daughter won’t start school until September 1st, so I will reserve judgement but I will say I was very disappointed in the size of this bag in proportion to the cost. This is far more than I typically spend on a backpack but we have had issues with bags getting mixed up when I buy the more typical brands like LL Bean or Pottery Barn so I wanted something unique, which it very much is and overall the quality seems good. She loves the design which is the only reason I didn’t return it due to the size but I’m hoping it will work. However, we are in VT which means snow pants packed in bags, sneakers for in the classroom when boots are worn outside, and I’m upset that I may need to buy another bag in a few months. But…here’s hoping.
The bag is cuter in person. My daughter is in third grade and it fits all her supplies. Her water bottle fits in the side pocket. I was worried it would be difficult to clean but she spilled something on it and it wiped right off!
The front pattern/design is unique and my daughter was really excited to get it. The logo is messed up, the side pockets do not fit any of the water bottles we’ve tried and the largest interior pocket is not large enough for a folder or normal spiral notebook...so the back interior pocket is basically useless. 1 regular 2 pocket folder and her lunch box barley fit inside. We’ve had many backpacks from PBK to Klanken and have never had a backpack that couldn’t fit basic required items for lower elementary.... there is not enough room for a laptop, school binder and small lunch box or pencil bag... fitting a sweater in on a chilly day wouldn’t be possible with your other basic supplies so probably best for a younger child who goes to a school where lunch and snack and water are provided and no laptop is required. Was super bummed to see the excitement drain from my daughters face as she started packing her backpack for the first day of school and realized it wasn’t big enough for the basics.
I received the backpack with the logo upside down. I've been trying to reach out to the company for two weeks with no response. My child started school a week ago and couldn't use the $100 backpack that I got her because I didn't want her to use it and then the company not fix it beings that it was used already. I'm pretty disappointed because it's such a cute backpack, just wish their customer service was better.
This pattern is so cute! Please make I in more of your products!
