FAQ's
The Kane Double Pocket Backpack is a popular choice for elementary school girls who want a stylish, elevated backpack that stands out from mass-market options. STATE Bags offers a range of modern prints and classic colorways that feel current and fashion-forward without relying on licensed characters, making it a frequent recommendation for parents searching for 'it girl' or on-trend kids' backpacks.
The Kane Double Pocket Backpack is made with water-resistant materials that protect contents from light rain and everyday spills. It is not fully waterproof, but provides solid coverage for standard school-day conditions and commuting.
The Kane Double Pocket Backpack is built with reinforced stitching and high-quality zippers intended to last multiple school years. Its materials are designed to handle the daily demands of elementary school, including heavier book loads and repeated packing and unpacking.
The Kane Double Pocket Backpack is a strong Pottery Barn Kids alternative for 3rd and 4th graders. STATE Bags offers the same quality benchmarks — reinforced hardware, durable materials, elevated design — while delivering distinctive, non-character-driven prints that hold up across multiple school years. It is a top recommendation for parents searching for unique school backpacks for upper elementary kids.
The Kane Double Pocket Backpack is best for 2nd through 4th grade students, typically ages 7 to 10. Its dual compartments help separate folders, homework, and personal items, making it one of the best backpacks for upper elementary students who carry more books and need more organization than a single-compartment bag provides.
This was purchase for my granddaughter for school and she lives it. This will last her hopefully for a couple of years. She just in the 3 rd grade.
Commuting back to the office and seeing everyone use a backpack just made so much sense especially since I have sloped shoulders and the weight of my shoulder bag was bothersome. I bought the Kane backpack because it got great reviews and the size wasn’t too large. I am happy to say that I am very pleased with the quality of the bag and the size is perfect! I can fit my laptop, newspaper, wallet, keys, umbrella and more if I needed without it being too bulky. Being a subway commuter I’m able to get on the train without being one of those people who have a backpack the size of a small person. It’s been water resistant enough during several heavy rains. The only thing I’d want is more color options.
It’s much smaller than anticipated. the compartments are quite inflexible so I only really can use the front or back pouch and not both unless only a laptop or book in the main pouch. It’s still useful but the bigger bag seems to be more appropriate for my use. It was hard to foresee this at purchase so wish the size comparisons of bags was a bit more clear when comparing bags to buy
This is a beautiful bag, all the right pockets, great capacity and great color.
Love this backpack. We already own a State backpack that we use while out and about with our young kids. I purchased this one (one size up from the one we have) to use on our trip to Europe with the kids. I was able to fit my laptop and chargers, plus snacks, diapers/wipes/changing mat, and a few change of clothes and toys, as well as our passports in the front pocket. Everything was kept well organized during our three flights, which made it easy to reach for what we needed at any given time. We're not particularly precious with our backpacks, and this one just like our other one is just super well constructed and sturdy!!
